Dear friends,

Hope you are all well.

We are going through a difficult time due to the Covid-19 disease causing damages to lives of thousands around us. As followers of Christ, it is a time for us to reflect on our call to His discipleship by being living examples of love and care for the people in need. St. John asks us, "How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help?" (1 John 3:17) So dear friends, let us reach out to our brothers and sisters who are in need at this time. 

With this intention of helping people in need due to Covid-19 situation, especially in our community and within the Perth metropolitan area and international students who are struggling, we have formed a Social Service Team called 'DIAKONIA'. We request your support to find out families and individuals in need, especially those who are in need of food, medical assistance, support for living and rent, spiritual or psychological support etc. If you know anyone who needs our care and support, please direct them to us so that we can help them to overcome their situations. All the requests will be assessed by the team and assistance will be provided accordingly. You will find the helpline numbers in the flyer attached.
